Join the Lingfield and Dormansland Fairtraders for their Quiz Nite at the Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre on Saturday 21 February 2015, 7.30pm.
Paul Pirie, Chair of Fairtrade Lingfield and Dormansland said, "This is always a popular evening in the community. A chance for teams to pit their wits against each other, have a bit of fun and savour a wonderful Fairtrade supper".
He adds, "This is my 8th Fairtrade Quiz Nite as Quizmaster and I promise to make the evening entertaining as well as a little challenging here and there. We are looking for teams of eight but we can always make up a composite team with singletons, pairs and triplets. All are welcome."
Local Fairtrade Steering Group member Chris Vasey said, "Although Fairtrade has come a long way in the past 20 years there is still plenty to do to support small holder producers around the world and ensure that they receive a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work. Our annual Quiz Nite provides a wonderful platform to launch our Fairtrade Fortnight activities."
"In the lead up, and during Fairtrade Fortnight, we will be focusing on a few core commodities – cocoa, sugar, and tea, and will encouraging fellow Fairtrade supporters in our community to ask in their place of work and, when visiting our local retailers, to offer Fairtrade commodities to their staff and customers. Entitled “The Stock It Challenge” we will have plenty of resources at our Quiz Nite for people to take away to pass on”.
Quiz Nite Tickets are £10 and include a Fairtrade Supper and a complimentary glass of Fairtrade wine.
Licensed bar provided from 7pm.
